I have always loved design, in all its forms. My home is an eclectic mix of found, saved and discovered items thrown together with bargain store pieces, antiques and treasures I have inexpertly painted. I move towards the imperfect but always the elegant. I love colour and bling, wood and concrete and each day I fall In love with something new. To me, design has no rules. It is the love affair that constantly provides mystery and joy.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than meeting a creative maker. From a wooden bowl-turner and knife-maker to a ceramist or knitter. I am enthralled by the talent of each and every artisan I meet. Through my passion for the creative process, I find myself constantly developing and creating new products and Ideas with every maker that ventures into my orbit. My artistic friends and the brilliant photographers I meet soon become avenues for books, cards, printed silk scarves. The world needs more beauty, more makers who take the time to work with mother nature and her brilliant box of crayons.
I try to invite people into my life, onto my podcasts and into my shop that love the idea of a collective good, the collective breath.
I truly believe that if we all meditated, practiced yoga and gratitude, ate less, loved more and believed in the power of one we would build a beautiful and sustainable future that worked symbiotically with the planet and empowered all of us to be brilliant. There is so much beauty in the world, we just need to pause and look.
